Clock Tower
In the city of Kavaja (K.I Cultural Monument)
In the center of the city of Kavaja is the high Clock Tower, which used to be near the Great Mosque. The tower is a tall building with a square, similar layout
with a North African minaret, but still completely European in appearance and other details. It is a construction work of the last decades of the 19th century. Among its Ottoman elements is a niche in the wall, which contains an inscription with only one word “Barekallah” (May God bless you!) and the year 1232 H (1817).
