Ura e Bukaqit
Bukaq village – Cultural Monument K.I
The Bukaq bridge, built over the Foka stream, is located about 2 km, south-west of the city of Kavaja, in the village of Bukaq. It was built during the 17th century and consists of three arches, where the main one is located in the middle and two auxiliary arches on the sides.
The architectural style is very similar to other stone bridges built in our country during the Ottoman period. The bridge was an important communication node and served to connect Kavaja with the village of Bugaq, and other villages that lie in the western area.
